Kenya is positioning itself as a leading investment destination in Africa as government officials, investors and business leaders gather in Nairobi for the 2026 AMCHAM Business Summit.
The Kenya Investment Authority (Invest Kenya) said the summit provides an opportunity to advance the next phase of trade and investment relations between Kenya, the United States and the wider East African region.
The discussions are focusing on strengthening business ties and creating opportunities for increased investment and trade.
Invest Kenya said the country is seeking to attract more capital by leveraging its position as a regional business hub and its connectivity to markets across East Africa.
The country is also seeking to take advantage of opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which provides access to a wider continental market.
The investment authority said Kenya’s strategic position and expanding regional connections make it an attractive destination for investors looking to access East African and African markets.
Government and business leaders, policymakers and investors are attending the summit, which is providing a platform for discussions on investment opportunities and stronger economic partnerships.
Invest Kenya is using the event to showcase opportunities available in Kenya and engage potential investors on areas where the country can attract additional capital.
The authority said strengthening the U.S.-Kenya and U.S.-East Africa trade and investment relationship will be key to unlocking new opportunities for businesses and supporting economic growth.
