Mining Cabinet Secretary Ali Hassan Joho on Friday at his office hosted the Indian High Commissioner to Kenya, for a courtesy call.

Taking to his social media pages, Joho said that they discussed key areas of cooperation in the maritime, blue economy, and mining sectors.

He argued that the conversation also focused on technical backstopping through exchange programs, training of trainers, and seafarer recognition.

He further revealed that the high Commissioner also committed India’s participation in the 11th edition of planned Ocean Conference, scheduled for 16–18 June 2026 in Mombasa

During the meeting , the Cs was accompanied by PS for Maritime and Shipping, Mr.Aden Millah ,PS for Mining, Mr. Kimtai Harry and Ps for for Blue Economy, Ms.Betsy Njagi.
