Kenya Rural Roads Authority Director General Philemon Kandie has resigned midway through his five-year term, effective 11th July, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Board of Directors, and in consultation with the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, the Authority confirmed that Eng. Jackson Magondu, who currently serves as the Director of Planning, Design and Environment, has been appointed to serve as Acting Director General, effective immediately.
“The Authority wishes to inform the general public of the resignation of Eng. Philemon Kandie, MBS as the Director General of Kenya Rural Roads Authority, effective 11th July, 2025,” said Chairman of the KeRRA Board of Directors Anthony Mwaura.
The Board expressed its appreciation to Eng. Kandie for his dedicated service and significant contributions to the Authority during his tenure.
