In the second half, Mildred Cheche made some changes. Joan Ogola and Susan Akoth came on for Lorna Faith and Lindey Weey Atieno in the 58th minute, setting the stage for the Starlets’ equalizer.

A smooth build-up play began with Susan Akoth, who passed to Marion Serenge. Serenge then fed Valerie Nekesa, who made a precise penetrating pass to Joan Ogola, who calmly slotted home the equalizer in the 60th minute.
