The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced openings for 108 positions within the Judiciary, with the commission calling on qualified Kenyan citizens to apply for the positions.
In its notice shared on Thursday, the commission announced that they are seeking to fill three positions in various courts in Kenya.
These positions include a law clerk, a senior legal researcher, and a legal researcher. The majority of these positions are legal researchers, totaling 85 positions.
Others include 22 senior legal researchers and one law clerk. The successful candidates who will be selected for these positions will be required to assist judges in conducting research as well as going through the case files before making any decision.
The law clerk is required to work in the Supreme Court, while the rest of them will be required to work in other courts such as the Court of Appeal, High Court, among other courts.
The Judicial Service Commission stated that this is aimed at enhancing the work of the courts to improve service delivery
The successful candidates will be paid according to the government pay policy approved by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
Anyone interested has been asked to apply through the JSC online portal, where full details of the jobs have been provided.
The deadline for applications is April 15 at 5pm.
The commission has warned that the process is free and no one should pay anything to secure the job. It also said any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
Only those who will be shortlisted are expected to be contacted.
The announcement comes not long after JSC recruited more judges to help deal with the growing number of cases in courts across the country.
