In a significant boost to the education sector in Lamu West, Member of Parliament Hon. Stanley Muthama has reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to transforming learning infrastructure in the region.
Hon. Muthama’s office was prominently represented at the official site-handing-over and groundbreaking ceremony for the Maisha Masha Comprehensive School Infrastructure Improvement Project, a major initiative fully funded by the MPESA Foundation.
The ambitious project aims to revolutionize the learning environment for students by providing modern, well-equipped facilities.
The planned development includes the construction of permanent classrooms for lower primary learners, two Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classrooms, a modern administration block, a fully equipped science laboratory, a digital computer lab, a library, a spacious kitchen, and sanitation facilities for both students and teachers.
Hon. Muthama lauded the MPESA Foundation for choosing to invest in the educational future of Lamu West. “The impact of this project will go far beyond Maisha Masha. It will uplift the entire constituency and provide our children with the tools they need to succeed,” he stated.
He further highlighted the complementary role of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), through which his office had previously constructed four permanent classrooms and supplied quality furniture at Maisha Masha. “This new development complements and expands what we’ve already begun, making Maisha Masha a true centre of academic excellence,” he added.
Widely recognized for his prudent and impactful use of NG-CDF resources, Hon. Muthama has received praise for his accountability, transparency, and focus on long-term community empowerment.
The MP’s unwavering focus on education aligns with his broader vision of promoting inclusive and sustainable development across Lamu West, ensuring that no child is left behind in the pursuit of quality education.
