Homa Bay Invests KSh21 Million to Upgrade Kendu Bay Agricultural Show Grounds

The Homa Bay County Government has invested KSh21 million in the modernization of the Kendu Bay Agricultural Show Grounds in Rachuonyo North, in a move aimed at strengthening agricultural innovation and improving productivity among farmers.

According to the county government statement shared on social media , the upgraded facility will be transformed into a secure center for agricultural technology, demonstrations, innovation and research.

The project is expected to provide farmers, researchers and agripreneurs with access to practical solutions designed to boost crop yields, reduce post-harvest losses and enhance incomes.

County officials noted that once completed, the modernized show grounds will play a key role in promoting knowledge sharing, adoption of modern farming techniques and the commercialization of agriculture, supporting Homa Bay’s broader agenda of improving food security and economic growt
