His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, is in Kenya for an official visit.
He arrived in the country on Monday and was welcomed by prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi and health cabinet secretary Aden Duale .
The visit, his first since assuming office, underscores the deep historical ties between Kenya and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
He on Tuesday met president Ruto at State House Nairobi.
The Aga Khan’s three-day programme is expected to focus on strengthening partnerships between Kenya and the AKDN, with discussions centering on projects aimed at improving livelihoods and expanding opportunities across various sectors.
