The government has moved in to address the situation that has arisen as a result of the heavy rains that have caused flooding in different parts of Nairobi.
Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku has asked sub-county offices across the country to set up emergency desks that will help those who have been affected by the flooding.
In his address, CS Ruku stated that they have asked Deputy County Commissioners to monitor what is happening on the ground and report to him regarding the number of families that have been affected by the flooding.
Ruku also asked people in Kenya to be careful during these rains, especially when they are driving.
He asked people to be careful when they see flooded roads and also when they see rivers that have swollen or have burst their banks.
The government also had an emergency meeting on Saturday morning regarding what action they should take regarding the flooding that has occurred.
