Gor Mahia beat Ulinzi Stars 3-2.

Gor Mahia secured a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ulinzi Stars in their penultimate Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League fixture, played Sunday evening at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

Samuel Kapen opened the scoring for K’Ogalo in the 10th minute, only for Yakeen Muteheli to draw the hosts level ten minutes later.

Gor regained the lead early in the second half when Austine Odhiambo struck in the 55th minute, before Benson Omalla extended the advantage just nine minutes later.

But the game was far from over, as Michael Otieno pulled one back for Ulinzi in the closing stages, setting up a tense finale. Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno’s men, however, held on to claim all three points.

Despite the victory, Gor Mahia’s title hopes were dashed after Kenya Police FC narrowly edged Shabana 1-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos in a concurrently played match.

The result saw the law enforcers leapfrog Gor to clinch the FKF Premier League crown.
