Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is seemingly trying to woo former premier Raila Odinga into his camp ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during a TV interview, Gachagua said Raila is the only person who can unseat Ruto in 2027, promising to support him should he contend against the current president.
The former DP said Mt Kenya voters are ready to support the ODM leader to defeat President Ruto in the upcoming polls.
Gachagua added that it was up to the Azimio leader to choose whether he wanted to join forces with Ruto or embrace Mount Kenya “and be made president”.
Also in the interview, Gachagua revealed that he was forming a coalition with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya, Busia senator Okiya Omtatah, and DAP Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa to challenge Ruto in the coming polls.
