Renowned Kikuyu musician Karangu Muraya has been at the forefront advocating for the Social Health Authority (SHA), insisting that it is working, citing personal experiences.
However, he has faced massive backlash and bullying from naysayers of the scheme, who have resorted to name-calling through his social media comment section.
The Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Dennis Itumbi has since come to his rescue, shielding him from the bullies.
Itumbi reiterated that SHA is working, saying no amount of disagreement will change that fact. He thanked the singer for being bold despite the bullying.
"SHA works. Do not be bullied over that simple fact. It is the truth and nothing changes the truth. Facts my friend are stubborn, they do not change because we disagree with the facts. 11 million people have benefited from SHA since it started," said Itumbi.
