Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome has issued a firm directive against financial leakages, insisting that all loopholes must be sealed to prevent loss of public funds.
The CS was speaking during an unannounced inspection visit of the Kiambu Lands Registry to evaluate the facility’s condition and the quality of service delivery.
“Accountability is not a suggestion — it is a duty,” she remarked, underscoring the role of financial integrity in enhancing service delivery.
The CS praised Kiambu for taking the lead in the ongoing digitization of land registries across the country.
She noted that the digitization drive is aimed at eliminating manual inefficiencies, combating fraud, securing land records, and improving accessibility for the public.
“This is not just a technological shift — it’s a trust-building mission,” she said, adding that reforms must move hand-in-hand with public participation to succeed.
