A concerning story shared on the Njambifever official page has left fans of content creator Chebet Rono feeling uneasy—and confused. According to the post, Rono was allegedly assaulted by her friend’s boyfriend over a food dispute. The online user claimed the man ate her food, and when she asked him to pay, things took a violent turn.
“He ate her food then she asked him to pay na hivyo ndio akampiga,” the post read in part. The same post alleged that the man’s girlfriend did nothing to stop the assault and simply watched as the incident unfolded.
As expected, netizens reacted with shock and concern. Some expressed anger at the alleged attacker, while others sympathised with Rono, comparing the situation to previous cases of publicized assault caught on CCTV.
However, Rono has since responded, and her message paints a different picture.
Taking to her social media, the outspoken influencer clarified that she is safe and well. She dismissed the circulating story, pointing fingers at online mischief-makers who, she says, even went as far as editing her photo to stir drama.
“I am completely fine and someone has edited a picture of me for whatever reason. I am at the comfort of my home safe and sound,” Rono stated.
“Can we be so fr… leave me alone.”
Her response has somewhat calmed the storm, though some fans are still seeking clarity on what exactly transpired. Others have come to her defence, urging netizens to stop spreading unverified claims that can cause unnecessary panic.
As it stands, Chebet Rono remains at home, safe and unbothered—brushing off the rumours with her signature boldness.
