Beatrice Chebet Announces Birth Of Her First Child, A Baby Boy

World record holder Beatrice Chebet has welcomed her newborn baby boy and shared the joyous news in her social media post.

She revealed that she and her husband welcomed the baby on Thursday, June 11, describing it a beautiful new chapter in their lives.

In her post, she stated, “He is here. Our hearts are full and our lives forever changed. We are blessed. Tiny hands, tiny feet and love so big. A beautiful new chapter begins. Welcome to our world, sweet little baby boy.”

Chebet’s journey to motherhood comes after years of dominance on the track. She is celebrated as the first woman to run under 14 minutes in the 5,000m clocking 13:58:06 at Prefontaine Classic in Eugene.

She is a Paris 2024 Olympics double gold in the 5,000m and 10,000mwinner and World Championship 2025, Diamond League 2025, in Victories in Xiamen, Rome and Cross Country titles in junior champion in 2019 and senior champion in 2023 and 2024.

A surprise baby shower organized by close friends and family including Faith Kipyegon, Chebet transition into motherhood celebrated. She joins other athletes like Faith Kipyegon, Hellen Obiri, Mary Keitany and Edna Kiplagat, who have succeeded in the world championship while balancing family life.
