Diamond Platnumz and Stevo Simple Boy have been involved in an online spat. It all started with Stevo Simple Boy posting on social media, asking why he was trending in Tanzania. Diamond Platnumz replied with a quote that’s trending online. He said, Wanasema eti wewe ndio ile ‘Akili ni ya Kenya’… No, nakataa si wewe,” which translates to, “They say you are the ‘intelligence of Kenya’… No, I refuse, not you.”
The line referenced Diamond Platnumz’s recent hit Katam featuring Artist Bien and has included the phrase “Ati akili ni ya Kenya.” translating to “They say intelligence comes from Kenya.”Stevo didn’t take the jab instead he clapped back at Diamond Platnumz and reminded him that he us the “Dragon of Africa.”
Mid last year, Stevo also made headlines after demanding a Kshs 20 million collabo fee from Diamond Platnumz. After sometime he increased the amount to Ksh 24 million asserting that he’s bigger than Diamond. He suggested that he had a “seven-pack” compared to Diamond Platnumz’s six pack.
The buzz between Diamond Platnumz and Stevo Simple Boy is growing everyday. From the look of things, the duo may have a music collabo soon.
