Detectives have arrested a second suspect linked to a violent robbery in Parklands, Nairobi, captured in a viral video circulating on social media.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the suspect, identified as Emmanuel Akolo, alias Murife, was arrested during an intelligence-led operation in Deep Sea slums within the Parklands-Highridge area.
According to the DCI, intelligence reports linked Akolo to the robbery in which a member of the public was violently attacked and robbed of personal valuables.

The latest arrest follows the earlier apprehension of another suspect in connection with the incident, marking progress in investigations into the robbery.
Detectives are now pursuing another suspected accomplice who remains at large as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Akolo remains in police custody as detectives finalise his processing ahead of his arraignment in court.
The arrest comes amid efforts by security agencies to identify and apprehend individuals involved in violent crimes in Nairobi and other parts of the country.

The DCI reiterated its commitment to tracking down suspected criminals, dismantling criminal networks and ensuring those implicated in offences are brought before the courts.

The agency urged continued cooperation in efforts to enhance public safety as investigations into the Parklands robbery proceed.
