American actress Carla Jeffery, best known for her role as Bree in Disney’s ‘Zombies’ franchise, passed away on September 1 at the age of 33.
Her death was confirmed by her management company, Alexanders Talent Management, through a statement shared on Jeffery’s Instagram page, with the cause of death not yet disclosed.
‘‘It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,’’ they wrote.
Carla began her career in her teens and grew to be a vibrant and talented actress, with her management company appealing to respect the privacy of Jeffery’s family during this difficult time.
‘‘We had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room. Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time,’’ the management added.
Carla Jeffery’s twin brother, Carlon Jeffery, has also mourned his twin sister, expressing love, admiration and pride for Carla. He stated is proud of his sister, praising her strength, character and the way she touched the lives of those around her.
‘‘I just want you to know how proud I am of you. Your resilience, your grace, your infectious smile that lights up a room. You are truly a light that shines bright,’’ Carlon wrote.
Carlon described his twin sister as a kind sister any brother would be grateful to have, expressing his hope that their bond would continue to grow.
‘‘You are the best sister a brother could ask for. I pray we continue to grow closer to one another along this journey,’’ he added.
Carla starred in film of ‘Disney’s Zombies,’ voiced the character Bree in ‘Zombies: The Re-Animated Series’ released in 2024, and appeared in ‘Phat Girlz’ (2006), playing the role of Mo’Nique’s character.
