Bildad Nzuki Wambua, a director of Gladdens Homes Limited, has been arraigned before the Makadara Law Courts over an alleged KSh28 million housing fraud scheme involving 22 victims.
Wambua appeared in court on September 2, 2026, in MCCR No. E5356/2026, where he faced multiple counts of obtaining money by false pretences contrary to Section 313 of the Penal Code and money laundering.
According to detectives based at Starehe Sub-County, the suspect allegedly operated the scheme between 2024 and 2026, targeting members of the public through representations that they would purchase houses of different designs and sizes on Land Title No. Nairobi/Block A 40/474.
Investigators allege that the property was presented as part of the purported Urban Housing Renewable Development LPP project.
The victims are reported to have made payments through Gladdens Homes Agency, a privately registered entity associated with Wambua, after being persuaded by representations about the housing project.
The prosecution opposed his release on bond, with the court set to deliver a bond ruling on September 3. The case will be mentioned on October 15.
The DCI has urged anyone who may have entered similar transactions to report to its Starehe Sub-County offices.
