The Ng’eno family has been struck by another tragedy after the elder brother; Paul Ng’eno has passed away barely six months since the death of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament (MP) Johana Ng’eno who died in a helicopter crash.
His death comes shortly after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua visited the family in Mogondo, Narok County.
Paul Ng’eno passed away on Friday, August 21, while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Eldoret City, after battling complications from a motorbike accident that left with spinal and throat injuries, with his hospital bill accumulating to Ksh1.8 million.
Paul was the only remaining son of the family matriarch of Mama Mary Temas, who has now lost all her sons within a span of months. The mother had appealed to Gachagua to assist in clearing the outstanding medical bill and securing her son’s release from the hospital.
Gachagua agreed to help clear the bill and expressed concern over Paul’s condition. News of Paul’s death was shared by Bernard Ng’eno, a former personal assistant to Johana Ng’eno.
“I convey my message of condolences to the family of Arap Temas, for the loss of Paul Ng’eno, who was brother to the late Hon. Johana Ng’eno. We say pole to Mama Mary and the whole family,” Bernard wrote in a Facebook post.

During the visit to Mogondo, Gachagua not only pledged to pay the bill but also pledged to construct a mausoleum in Johana’s honor. He also further called for an independent investigation into Johana’s death, suggesting that international agencies should be involved in the investigations.
Paul Ng’eno has left two sisters, Elizabeth Chumo and Sarah Temas.
