Kenyan media personality Laura Mbatha has shared her views on marriage, suggesting that good men or husbands deserve second wives.
Speaking on a The Sandwich Podcast, Laura said, “If you’re truly a good husband, you deserve a second wife. I want women to be protected by good men.”
Her statement acknowledged polygamy as part of African cultural tradition; for others, it is a challenge to modern ideal of monogamy and equality in marriage.
Her fans and followers praised her, stating it’s a practice that still exists quietly in many communities and some men indeed provide for more than one wife.
