Siaya Governor James Orengo has declared that the withdrawal of his security detail will not deter him from what he termed as efforts to “salvage the country” from the current administration.
In a strongly worded statement, Orengo accused the Kenya Kwanza government of suppressing dissenting voices, insisting that he will continue standing with Kenyans despite increasing political pressure.
“Stripping away my security will not stop the work to salvage this country from the KaOngo regime. I will continue to stand with Kenyans as the de facto leader of the ODM Party, because the people demand it,’Orengo said in a statement through his social media platforms
The governor further described himself as the “de facto leader” of the Orange Democratic Movement party, claiming that the public expects him to champion accountability and defend the interests of ordinary citizens.
