In Vihiga, a 24-year-old woman is being held at Mbale Police Station for allegedly killing her 27-year-old husband with a knife in Chanzuvu village Mbihi sub-county. The incident which took place on Sunday morning is said to have been caused a quarrel over a 30-shilling balance.
Assistant Chief Alex Omenda has verified the incident and pointed out that the argument started on Saturday night.
He also revealed that the woman was seriously angry at the time. The deceased father Juma Bakari said the suspect had during the day given the husband 50 shillings to fetch a phone from a charging shop.
He failed to return the balance which led to the argument and the final confrontation. The victim named as Abdala Nyanyi died on the way to Vihiga Referral Hospital where his body now rests.
