Capitol Hill Police Station

Capitol Hill Police Station has been officially degazetted, with authorities issuing a public notice urging investigators and members of the public to collect pending case exhibits and cash bail deposits. The directive was announced by former OCS Tusca Opondo, who confirmed that officers previously stationed at the facility have already been redeployed to other stations within the sub-county and beyond.

Opondo called on all multi-agency investigators handling ongoing cases to immediately retrieve exhibits, including motor vehicles and other items held at the station.

“The station has been instructed to vacate the premises as soon as possible. All multi-agency investigators with pending exhibits should collect them without delay,” he said.

Authorities warned that delays in collecting the items could lead to administrative challenges once the station is fully phased out.

Members of the public with pending cash bail refunds were also directed to claim their funds before they are transferred to the National Treasury. Officials stressed that unclaimed money will be handled in line with government financial regulations after closure.
