Nairobi senator and embattled ODM party secretary general Edwin Sifuna has expressed dissatisfaction with the UDA and UDA working relationship.
On Wednesday , Sifuna said the relationship isn’t constitutionally binding noting that the required timeframe has expired.
In a statement shared on social media Sifuna maintained that the late Raila Odinga will never forgive President William Ruto for actions he says have weakened the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). “Raila will never forgive Ruto for what he has done to ODM, which is now unrecognizable.
“Raila will never forgive Ruto for what he has done to ODM, which is now unrecognizable. We used to be the party that fought for the people. There is no document binding ODM to UDA. It expired, and its extension is illegal, “he said.
He addressed claims of a binding agreement between ODM and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), calling them invalid.
“There is no document binding ODM to UDA. It expired, and its extension is illegal,” he stated.
This come after Kenya Kwanza’s United Democratic Alliance and the Orange Democratic Movement agreed on a 10-point agenda aimed at easing political tensions and advancing governance reforms.
Among the commitments are the full implementation of the NADCO Report, protection of devolution, youth empowerment, and strengthening leadership integrity.
