Two suspects have been arrested in police custody in Eldoret after the interception of a vehicle believed to be carrying contraband liquor.
The suspects were caught in the Asis area on Monday night after police patrol officers were tipped off. An inspection of their Toyota Corolla registration number KAV 131Y produced 500 litres of chang’aa packed in plastic bottles and polythene bags.
The two were taken to Eldoret Police Station and will be arraigned in court.
Police confirm that the crackdown against illegal booze will persist as they transition to protect citizens from the dangers of unauthorized brews.
