President William Ruto has reappointed Charles Nyachae as the Chairperson of the Kenya School of Government (KSG) for a fresh three-year term.

The appointment was announced in a Gazette notice released on Friday. Nyachae will assume the role immediately.

The former East African Court of Justice judge and ex-chair of the defunct Constitution Implementation Commission (CIC) was first appointed to the post in January 2024.

His initial term was due to end in July 2025, but with the new appointment, he is set to continue uninterrupted.

Nyachae was recently in the spotlight after being shortlisted for the chairmanship of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), though the position eventually went to Erastus Ethekon.

In the same notice, Ruto appointed former Lafey MP Abdi Mude Ibrahim to chair the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute board, also for a three-year term.

Ali Noor Ismail, who served as Labour and later Cooperatives Principal Secretary under the Jubilee administration, was named Chairperson of the Pest Control Products Board. He will also serve for three years.

The latest appointments are part of the president’s continued restructuring of key state agencies.
