Newcastle United have agreed to part with £55 million for Nottingham Forest’s winger Anthony Elanga.
Newcastle are looking to bolster their attacking lineup as they gear up for a Champions League return, following their fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
The 23-year-old Swedish scored six goals and produced 11 assists for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side during their successful 2024-25 Premier League season.
Elanga joined Forest from Manchester United in 2023 for a reported £15 million.
He had arrived at Old Trafford at the age of 12 and made 55 appearances before moving to the City Ground.
His ability to create chances, high efficiency in front of goal, and his crossing ability make him a valuable addition to a squad already brimming with attacking talent.

Opta statistics ranks Elanga highly among Premier League wingers in key attacking metrics, including goal-creating actions, shots on target, and crosses per 90 minutes.
His 6.65 crosses per 90 minutes far exceed the figures of Newcastle’s current wingers.
