The family of Ndiangui Kinyagia has confirmed that he is safe and in good health, following his disappearance days ago.
Ndiangui telephoned a relative on Tuesday night from an undisclosed location, a statement issued by family lawyer Wahome Thuku reports.
He explained that he went into hiding after finding out that DCI officers were looking for him and that made him fear for his life.
Ndiangui said he is ready to appear in any court and cooperate with authorities once his safety has been assured.
His relatives have instructed him to appear at the Milimani High Court today, Thursday, at 11am.
The statement also noted that officers of the DCI reportedly broke into his house and confiscated several items. The incident was reported at Kinoo Police Station.
The family has appreciated Kenyans for their well wishes and they hope justice will be served.
