Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, EGH, OGW, on Thursday led a series of grassroots sensitization forums across Kirinyaga Central, Gichugu, Ndia, and Mwea, ahead of repeat UDA elections.
Governor Waiguru emphasized that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) remains a people-centered party committed to listening and responding to its members. She said:
“Following members’ call for greater involvement and civic education, the party took the process back to the ground. The huge turnout once again confirms that Kirinyaga stands firmly with UDA and the Kenya Kwanza Government as we strengthen our structures from the grassroots.”
The forums aimed to educate members on electoral processes, enhance participation, and ensure transparency in the upcoming repeat elections.
Attendees were encouraged to actively engage, understand their civic responsibilities, and contribute to building stronger, accountable party structures.
Governor Waiguru said the initiative demonstrates UDA’s commitment to empowering members at the grassroots level while fostering a culture of civic awareness and democratic participation in the county.
