Musician Nadia Mukami has responded to criticism and speculation that emerged after she publicly supported her former partner, Arrow Bwoy, following his loss at the Vurugu 2.0 boxing event.

The event, held on Saturday, June 20, at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi, attracted thousands of spectators and featured a highly anticipated main-card fight between Arrow Bwoy and Shakib Cham. The bout generated significant interest due to the public attention surrounding the personal lives of both contestants.

Many fans were surprised to see Nadia attend the event, especially after the couple recently announced their separation. Her presence fuelled speculation that the breakup may not have been genuine and that the pair could still be romantically involved.

Did Arrow Bwoy lose Vurugu 2.0 fight?

The rumours intensified after Arrow Bwoy’s defeat when Nadia shared a message praising his performance. She commended him for stepping into the ring for the first time and credited him with helping make the fight one of the most talked-about matches of the night.

She also encouraged the singer to ignore criticism and online mockery, urging him to continue training and focus on future opportunities.

However, her message sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans praised her maturity, others questioned whether the former couple had truly parted ways. Some critics even accused Nadia of being desperate to maintain a connection with her ex-partner.

In response, the singer firmly rejected the claims and explained that her actions were motivated by a commitment to healthy co-parenting. Nadia said she had chosen not to harbour resentment following the end of their relationship and preferred to maintain a positive relationship for the benefit of their children.

According to the singer, carrying bitterness would only affect her peace of mind and mental well-being. She added that letting go of negative emotions has been one of the reasons she has remained successful and focused throughout her career.

Nadia emphasised that supporting the father of her children should not be mistaken for desperation or evidence of a romantic reunion. Instead, she described it as a conscious decision to prioritise peace, personal growth and effective co-parenting.

She concluded by thanking comedian and media personality Oga Obinna for organising the Vurugu 2.0 event and contributing to the growth of the entertainment industry.
