The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has stepped up preparations to strengthen its presence in Busia County ahead of the 2027 General Election.
UDA Secretary General Senator Hassan Omar Hassan held discussions with Busia County Senate aspirant Dr. Naftal Obuya at the party headquarters, Hustler Plaza, in Nairobi.
During the meeting, Dr. Obuya highlighted development programmes being implemented in Busia County under the Broad-Based Government.
He subsequently reaffirmed Busia County’s support for the re-election of President William Ruto in the 2027 presidential contest.
Dr. Obuya said the development programmes being implemented in the county had strengthened his support for the administration and its agenda.
Senator Hassan, on his part, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to an inclusive development agenda that seeks to ensure no part of the country is left behind.
The two also discussed strategies aimed at popularising UDA in Busia County as the party prepares for the 2027 General Election.
The meeting comes as political parties intensify grassroots mobilisation and seek to consolidate support across different regions ahead of the polls.
Dr. Obuya was accompanied by Dr. Joseph Masakhalia, Dr. Osia Mwanje, Leonard Bukeke and Cornelius Eyase.
UDA has been positioning itself to expand its grassroots networks as it prepares for the 2027 elections, with party officials engaging leaders and aspirants across the country.
