Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek has dared Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to arrest him together with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and lock them in the same cell.
In a video circulating online, Kiborek made the remarks while attacking Gachagua and challenging the police chief to take action against him.
“Arrest me and lock me in the same cell with Rigathi Gachagua. When he comes out, he will be singing ‘Tutam,’” Kiborek said.
The remarks have since attracted attention online because of their unusual and provocative nature.
Kiborek is a strong supporter of President William Ruto and has repeatedly criticised Gachagua as the former Deputy President continues to oppose the Ruto administration.
The latest remarks come at a time when political exchanges between Gachagua and Ruto’s allies have become increasingly heated ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Gachagua has stepped up his criticism of Ruto’s administration, accusing the government of failing Kenyans and using state machinery against its political opponents.
