Police have arrested two suspects and recovered 770 rolls of cannabis sativa during an operation in Grogon B area of Korogocho, Nairobi County.
The National Police Service said officers from Korogocho Police Station conducted the operation on Sunday, September 27, 2026, following a tip-off from members of the public.
The officers were reportedly on routine patrol in the area when they received information that individuals were packaging suspected illicit drugs inside a residential premises.
“While on routine patrol in the area, the officers received a tip-off from members of the public regarding individuals packaging suspected illicit drugs within a residential premise,” the statement reads.
Acting on the intelligence, the officers raided the premises and arrested two suspects before recovering 770 rolls of bhang allegedly intended for distribution.
The suspects were detained at Korogocho Police Station pending arraignment in court, while the recovered cannabis was secured as an exhibit.
The National Police Service thanked members of the public for providing information that led to the arrests, urging residents to continue reporting suspected criminal activity.
Police said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal drug trafficking networks and curb the distribution and abuse of narcotic substances.
