The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has dismissed claims that its officers have raided the Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetang’ula’s house.

This is after viral reports emerged on social media alleging the purported raid.

However, speaking to TUKIO.co.ke, a source intimated to the commission dismissed the reports as false and reckless, adding that Wetang’ula is not under any investigation.

The raid claim emerged after President William Ruto put Members of Parliament and senators on notice over corruption.

The head of state said some lawmakers have been soliciting and receiving bribes to perform their legislative duties, a move that has watered down the authenticity of parliament.
