President William Ruto has announced a raft of development projects aimed at reshaping Nyeri County, with a strong focus on infrastructure, housing and economic growth.
Speaking after a meeting at State House Nairobi, the President said the government is prioritising the completion of key projects, including the long-awaited Kenol–Karatina–Marua dual carriageway.
He noted that the road, once complete, will ease transport, boost trade and open up the region to more investment.
“We are transforming the face of Nyeri County through ambitious infrastructure development,”Ruto said.
The President also revealed plans to build hostels for university and college students, a move expected to ease accommodation challenges for learners in the region.
In addition, the upgrade of Ruring’u Stadium is on the cards, with the aim of nurturing local talent and improving sports infrastructure.
