President William Ruto and several Cabinet secretaries have made fresh appointments and reappointments to various State boards and agencies.
The changes were contained in Gazette notices dated September 18, 2026, with most of the new terms taking effect on the same date.
Ruto appointed Moses Narok as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority Board for a one-year term.
The President also reappointed Moses Njenga Chege as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) for another three years.
In the energy sector, Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi renewed Diba Daudi Huka’s membership of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Board for another three years.
National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi reappointed Rose Towett to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Board for three years.
Mbadi also renewed Ibrahim Mohamed Salat’s membership of the Retirement Benefits Authority Board for another three years.
In the tourism sector, Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano made several appointments and reappointments to boards overseeing the Tourism Fund, Kenya Utalii College and Kenya Wildlife Service.
Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Murithi Muga appointed Lilian Anyango Yonga to the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority and Silas Tochim to the Governing Council of the Kenya Water Institute.
In education, Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba appointed Captain Antony Kiroken as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kajiado National Polytechnic Council for three years.
Chief Justice Martha Koome also appointed Maurice Murunga Osundwa as a member of the Auctioneers Licensing Board for a three-year term effective September 4, 2026.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen appointed members to the Boards of Visitors of Shikusa and Shimo La Tewa Borstal Institutions.
The latest changes are part of ongoing appointments and renewals of leadership positions across State agencies, regulatory bodies and public institutions.
