American actor Ricco Ross is set to make his first ever trip to South Africa in December to co-host Ndlala Grandeur in one of the nation’s premier entertainment festivals.
The event, scheduled to run from December 16-19, promises a dazzling blend of international glamour and African creativity, with Ricco at the center of its opening night.
Ricco will take the red carpet and show co-host the Ndlala Grandeur Season 1 on December 16 and 17, where he will engage with audiences.
Known for his role as Horace Bellarie in Tyler Perry’s Netflix drama Beauty in Black, has built his career in films. He has also been featured in James Cameron’s Aliens and Unexpected Christmas, showcasing his versality across action, drama and science fiction.
The event will take place at Ndlala Arena, Pretoria. The line-up for the four-night event has not yet been announced, with organizers promising a mix of South African and international acts.
Ricco’s presence adds a layer of Hollywood glamour, putting the actor in front of fans away from his usual screen roles.
The event, hosted in August, featured international acts including Mya, RL, Ginuwine, Case and Tyrese, alongside South African performers such as Zonke, Vusi Nova and Brian Themba.
Ndlala Arena has increasingly established itself as a destination for large scale entertainment events, with this year’s event set to be bigger than the previous years’ two-night events, turning into a three-day celebration of R&B.
