PROTO Energy and Gobeba Unveils Strategic Partnership to Enhance Safe LPG Access in Kenya

PROTO Energy and Gobeba have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand access to legit safe, and convenient Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) through last-mile delivery solutions across the country.

The partnership brings together PROTO Energy, one of Kenya’s leading LPG distributors and Gobeba, a fast-growing digital logistics platform, in a shared mission to enhance access to sustainable cooking energy through innovation and technology.

Speaking during the signing of MoU, Tim Jessop, Chief Commercial Officer at PROTO Energy, emphasized that the collaboration aligns with the company’s long-standing goal of ensuring quick, efficient, and reliable LPG delivery.“With the Gobeba team, we’re now ensuring Kenyans receive genuine PROTO or SeaGas cylinders right at their doorstep ,seamlessly and effortlessly.

LPG use is rising as people move away from traditional fuels, and this partnership prepares us to meet that growing demand.” said JessopJessop further noted that PROTO Energy, which has been operational for over seven years, is scaling up to support Kenya’s transition to cleaner energy alternatives, with a focus on safety and authenticity. Customers can identify genuine cylinders through unique seals, barcodes, and serialized containers, ensuring full traceability and trust.

The partnership will initially roll out in Nairobi before expanding nationwide, signaling a new era in clean energy delivery and digital commerce in Kenya.
