President William Ruto has reiterated his stand against tribalism and his commitment to fighting tribalism, which has recently played out in Kenyan politics.
“I will stand firm to reject the politics of ethnicity, division and hate,” he said, calling on every Kenyan to embrace patriotism and unite in nation building.Speaking during a meeting with the National Super League (NSL) Champions, Nairobi United F.C. at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto warned individuals exploiting political unrest for personal gain.
He emphasised that while the Constitution allows for demonstrations, they must be carried out peacefully and within the law.
He urged every Kenyan citizen to rally and demonstrate within the guidelines provided by the constitution.
President Ruto assured that the Government of Kenya is big enough to accommodate every community and region, calling out people who politically misuse young people to cause chaos and destruction of property in the country.
He also praised Nairobi United F.C. for their recent success, congratulated them on their victory over Gor Mahia, and for securing a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“We have a team of the Kenyan community, and is truly the face, brand and architecture of Kenya,” he said, to the focused and determined football champions.
