President William Ruto has said there could be house talks between the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ahead of the 2027 General Election, noting that the next administration will be formed through inclusive leadership.

The President was speaking while meeting grassroot leaders from Nyeri County at Sagana State Lodge, said the current administration is willing to cooperate with leaders who share the same vision to ensure that development reaches every part of the country.

The Head of State mentioned that the next government setup, which will be a product of an election, will focus on the advancement of a united Kenya and a fair distribution of resources. He added that leaders in Kenya are expected to promote harmony not division.

The President attacked the politicians he claimed were spreading ethnic politics ahead of the election and called on the electorate to oppose those leaders who are divisive. He requested that the people of the Mount Kenya region should not pay attention to those who want to estrange the region from the government.

The President again visited the Mt Kenya region only a few days after his tour during the NYOTA Programme distribution. He has also been at Sagana State Lodge, where he hosted over 17,000 UDA grassroots leaders from Nyeri County, who were elected as polling centre officials last week, at Sagana State Lodge, Nyeri.

He assured Kenyans that his government is still focused on transforming the country before the 2027 elections and therefore, requested the voters to consider Kenya Kwanza’s record as the main factor in their voting decision.

The President reiterated that his administration is willing to collaborate with open, minded leaders from different political parties for the sake of national unity and development that can last.
