President William Ruto on Tuesday visited the family of the late former Cabinet minister and veteran politician Cyrus Jirongo at their Gigiri home in Nairobi County to offer his condolences.
In a statement, the President described the late Jirongo as a friend and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family during the difficult moment.
President Ruto said the country shares in the family’s loss and called for unity and faith as they mourn the fallen leader.
Quoting scripture, the Head of State referenced Psalm 46:1, saying, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
The late Cyrus Jirongo was a prominent figure in Kenyan politics and public life, having served in various leadership roles over the years.
