President William Ruto on Tuesday urged United Democratic Alliance (UDA) delegates to remain focused on unity and development as the ruling party prepares for the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during the UDA National Governing Council (NGC) meeting at State House, Nairobi, Ruto praised Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba, calling on delegates to applaud her for joining the party.
“Pigieni Wamuchomba makofi,” Ruto said, as delegates applauded the lawmaker.
The President addressed concerns previously raised by Wamuchomba over the stalled Mau Mau Road project, assuring residents that the government would complete the road before the 2027 elections.
“Wamuchomba had issues with the Mau Mau Road, and we want to assure her and the people that the project will be completed before 2027,” Ruto said.
He further pledged to enhance road infrastructure across the country as part of his administration’s development agenda.
