Siaya Governor James Orengo has revealed that media personality Willis Raburu will contest the Kisumu Senate seat in the 2027 General Election.
In a statement, Orengo said he held a meeting with Raburu, describing his entry into politics as part of a broader youth-driven movement aimed at reshaping leadership in the region.
He said Raburu will be joining the Linda Mwananchi Movement, which he described as a platform driven by youthful ambition and a push for transformative leadership.
“Today, I had an engaging tete a tete with Willis Raburu. He’s officially bringing his signature youthful energy, corporate MC expertise, and creative media edge to the Linda Mwananchi Movement,” Orengo said.
He further confirmed Raburu’s political ambitions, noting that he will be vying for the Kisumu senatorial seat.
“Willis is running for the Kisumu Senatorial seat, and we are thrilled he’s chosen to board our bus, a movement fueled by the aspirations of the youth and a drive for a better Kenya,” he added.
