In a show of solidarity, Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala, paid a surprise visit to the Harambee Starlets at their training camp in Miramas, France, ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Sharing the Kenyan traditional meal together, Omanyala was seen sharing a good time together laughing, offering morale support, and encouraging them to do their best at the matches.
The Starlets, preparing to represent Kenya on the continental stage, were visibly seen energized by Omanyala’s presence, reminding the players that their journey reflects his own, which is marked by discipline, sacrifice and the pursuit of excellence against all odds.
Omanyala’s visit highlights the growing unity between Kenyan athletes, showing that success in athletics can inspire footballers. Harambee Starlets hope to win the WAFCON 2026, in Morocco, as they recently beat South Africa.
