Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga is about to join Qatari side Al Arabi SC days after his contract at Al Duhail SC expired.
In his Facebook page, the 31-year-old striker wrote “Done”, hinting the deal has been sealed.
Olunga is expected to join Al Arabi SC as a free agent. During his four-year spell at Al Duhail SC, Olunga scored 130 goals.
The former Gor Mahia, Tusker, and Thika United striker won Golden Boot awards in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 Qatari Stars League seasons, a league title in 2023, and a historic run to the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League.

In Spain, Olunga made headlines becoming the first Kenyan and Girona FC player to score a LaLiga hat-trick.
His impressive performance led to a €2.84 million move to Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol.
In 2021, he made a record-breaking €6 million transfer to Al Duhail SC, where he quickly established himself as a key figure in Qatari football.
