Popular Kenyan media personality Comedian Oga Obinna has caused an online debate afer advising young women online. He urged women under the age of 26 to avoid falling pregnant and moving in with men at their prime time. He urged them to focus on financial independence and career growth.
Obinna shared, “This is your time to make money, invest in yourself, and discover who you are. Don’t waste it playing house or raising a child before you’re ready,” The show host reminded his fans that his ststement was meant to empower them rather than criticize them.
Some fans who read the message praised his advice as necessary and encouraged women to delay domestic commitments in favor of career and self growth. Still others felt that Obinna’s message is controversial arguing that every woman’s path is different.
