Caroline Nyadiero has been appointed the new Chairperson of the Beach Handball Commission under the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF), solidifying her longstanding leadership role in the sport.

Her appointment was officially confirmed by KHF Secretary General Gikaria Nderitu and Federation President FK Paul, marking a significant milestone for one of the most influential figures in Kenyan beach handball.

“This event is more than sport—it’s a movement. We’re building pride, unity, and environmental stewardship through every match played on our beaches,” Nyadiero remarked following her confirmation.

Nyadiero has been a key architect in the growth and development of beach handball in Kenya.

She notably coached the women’s team to a silver medal at the 2023 African Beach Games in Hammamet, Tunisia, and led the national youth team during the 2024 IHF Youth Championships, also held in Tunisia.

Beyond the pitch, she has harnessed beach handball as a tool for social transformation, especially along the coast. Through her initiative, “Championing Gender Equality through Handball in Coastal Kenya,” Nyadiero has actively promoted women’s empowerment and environmental conservation by organizing clean-ups and educational activities during tournaments and training camps.

Her dedication to both sport and community has earned her national and continental recognition.

In 2020, she was nominated for the African Woman in Sport Award, alongside Ugandan sports journalist Usher Komugisha and South African marathoner Nontuthuko Mgabhi.
