Award-winning comedian Timothy Kimani, better known as Njugush, has confirmed that he and his wife Celestine Ndinda have parted ways.

In a statement shared publicly, Njugush revealed that the decision to separate was made last year after careful consideration and mutual understanding.

“Last year, we made the decision to part ways after much thought and with mutual respect,” he said.

Despite the breakup, the comedian emphasized that the two remain committed to raising their children together, noting that family remains their top priority.

“We have been co-parenting and our children remain our top priority. We continue to support one another,” he added.

He also appealed for privacy as they adjust to the new phase of their lives.

The couple, who built a strong brand together through comedy and their widely popular “Through Thick and Thin” (TTNT) shows, had long been regarded as one of Kenya’s most admired celebrity partnerships.

Their separation marks the end of a high-profile union that blended family life and entertainment, earning them a loyal fan base across the country.

Rumours about trouble in their marriage began circulating in late 2024 and gained momentum in early 2025, after fans noticed a shift in their public dynamic.

The couple, once known for frequent joint appearances and collaborations, had scaled down shared content, appeared less together at events, and showed reduced interaction on social media.

The speculation intensified in recent months, with online discussions questioning the status of their relationship, even as the two maintained silence until now.

Njugush and Ndinda, who tied the knot in 2016, their confirmation now brings clarity to a story that has dominated entertainment circles, marking the end of one of the country’s most closely watched celebrity unions.
