Nayianoi Ntutu, widow of the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, has been appointed as a member of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Authority board. The appointment, confirmed in a Kenya Gazette notice dated April 2, marks a three-year term starting immediately. The notice was signed by ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (2) (e) of the Information and Communication Technology Authority Order, 2013, the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy appoints Nayianoi Ntutu to be a member of the board of ICT Authority for a period of three years,” Kabogo said in the official notice.
ICT Authority Chairperson Lily Ng’ok Kirui welcomed the appointment, expressing confidence in Nayianoi’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the board.
“Welcome to the ICT board, Mrs. Nayianoi. I am looking forward to working closely with you. I have no doubt in your abilities and the contribution you will make to the team. Together, we will fulfill our collective mandate,” Kirui said in a Facebook post.
Nayianoi comes from the prominent Ntutu family in Narok, being the daughter of businessman Livingstone Ole Ntutu. She is also related to several political figures, including Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu, her stepbrother, and former senator Stephen Ntutu.
